Hi, I’m Laura Venable, a yoga and meditation teacher, Pilates instructor, and plant lover based in Florence, South Carolina. My teaching is rooted in the belief that movement and stillness are both powerful gateways to feeling good in your body and connected to your life.
My journey began in 2018 at the Santosha Yoga Institute in Bali, where I completed my first 200-hour yoga teacher training surrounded by the lush, grounding energy of the island. That experience opened a lifelong path of learning. In 2019, I deepened my practice under the guidance of Simon Borg-Olivier, studying Yoga Synergy first in Italy and later that same year in Australia.
In 2022, I was drawn to the inner landscapes of rest and surrender, completing a Yoga Nidra immersion with Jana Roemer, which profoundly shaped how I guide students into stillness. Most recently, in 2025, I added another layer to my offerings by completing my Mat Pilates certification with the Classical Pilates Education Network giving me even more tools to help people move with strength, stability, and grace.
Since then, I’ve taught over 1,000 hours of classes, private lessons, and retreats, helping students of all levels find more ease, strength, and clarity. Across all of these experiences, one thread has stayed constant: I believe yoga, meditation, and mindful movement are for everyone. Whether I’m leading a weekly class, a private session, or a mountain retreat, my goal is always the same: to help you pause, breathe, and reconnect to yourself.
When I’m not teaching, you’ll usually find me with my hands in the dirt at our family greenhouse, chasing after my little boy, or dreaming up new ways to bring people together through movement, nature, and community.
Let’s practice together — your body, mind, and spirit will thank you.
